Custom CSS WordPress Theme via cPanel (not updating) -

i wondering why not unable make changes; tried several things yet, don't seem able update css, following did already:

  1. there no editor, unable make changes via there.
  2. i administrator , have access cpanel.
  3. i made changes via ../wp-content/theme/my-theme/style.css , no changes made.
  4. i empty cache via plugin , hard reload chrome, firefox , safari. , no changes made.

is there other solutions? found file contains styles. try add own class, , see if see if there effect.

first thing first, cpanel can navigate website filemanager, use make code changes , save them. need clear cache everytime make changes (i browser (in chrome, open dev console, long press on refresh button , select bottom one)

if changes still not showing on site, think maybe editing wrong css? theme , 100% sure editing right file and, example, it's not overwritten child theme or else?

if using framework, maybe property overwritten framework (for example, bootstrap). check this, open console or try add !important in css file.

just example, when develop theme leave root style.css theme definitions, , create different stylesheets in different folder. leads me next question: enqueue file correctly? loaded wordpress?

to check inspect code in , search id of file enqueued functions.php.

unfortunately, without more details, things think of when developing , wordpress theme , make changes cpanel. hope of can help.
